Koen’s approach at Desque
Working in the furnishing industry for over 22 years, Koen has been working as an Operational Manager within Desque for one year. Desque is an independent project furnisher focused on the B2B market. For issues relating to project design, sustainability, or the improvement of a working environment, Desque provides a suitable solution.
Koen explains that, as operational manager, he is constantly looking for new ways to work efficiently. For instance, he also deals with the quotation process. Since the end of last year, the company has been using pCon.basket. “The main advantages of preparing a quotation with pCon.basket are actuality, clarity, and flexibility. The PRO functionalities for Desque
Because Koen and his colleagues benefit from the functionalities of the PRO version, they have access to additional options such as adding free items or creating their own product catalogs. Koen says they often use the option to add free articles. Several ‘standard’ articles have been created that they often use in their quotations. These are mainly articles from suppliers who do not use pCon. In consultation between Koen and the supplier, a sheet is prepared in which the most important information is incorporated. “Because we only have to set this up once, collecting photos, article texts, and dimensions is accelerated this way. Super convenient,” says Koen.
Another (ideal) functionality that Koen uses a lot is the ‘price calculation’. This option allows you to make price calculations for individual items, item groups and at project level. “This is really a super tool. It allows you to adjust discounts, margins etc. per item, per group or per room, ideal!” indicates Koen.

Live 3D configuration in pCon.basket
In addition to the above points, we asked Koen which aspects of live 3D configuration appeal to him most. He indicates that having a visual of what is being offered ensures a quick increase in product knowledge, which ultimately helps in making important decisions. Another big advantage is the diversity of configuration options. This allows the customer’s wants and needs to be taken into account.
