Weishäupl Möbelwerkstätten: Welcome to the sunny side

The Weishäupl Möbelwerkstätten lost their heart over 50 years ago. To honest materials that are mainly manufactured by hand. Nothing has changed to this day. Of course, modern techniques are also used – but only where they complement the manufactory in a meaningful way. In the family-run factory in Stephanskirchen in Upper Bavaria, in the midst of the most beautiful nature and in front of an impressive mountain landscape, the Weishäupl Werkstätten pursue their vocation with enthusiasm and great care: they manufacture parasols that can survive generations and build outdoor furniture that transform the garden and terrace into living spaces. The love for the material wood has always accompanied them. Perhaps because there is no other material that has so much life in it. Combined with innovative, intelligent materials, this is how the classics of tomorrow are created.

Quality and sustainability

For Weishäupl, sustainability means not only an eco-friendly supply chain, but also product durability. Weishäupl is a real family business and has always focused on nature. Sustainability has been part of our DNA since the beginning. The parasols are lovingly handcrafted from local woods in our own carpentry.

The parasol pole and struts are made of ash, which is not only very elastic but also very strong when glued together several times. The parasol hubs are hand-turned from birch and the vibrant acrylic fabrics are woven in Germany, Austria and Spain. “We were sustainable before the word even existed,” says Philipp Weishäupl. And the regionality does not end with the parasols – even the gravel for the stable base comes from Upper Bavaria.

The list goes on and on – but isn’t the most important thing the durability of the products? Durable enough to last through generations. And if, after many years, a part or a cover needs to be replaced, we look forward to seeing it again. Preserving a world that is worth living in for future generations, taking on ecological responsibility – in short, taking care of what you love – this is what the Weishäupl family stands for with their name.

The factories

All premium acrylic fabrics for Weishäupl parasol covers undergo spin dyeing for excellent light fastness and vibrant colour. In addition, the surface has a special technical finish that makes the fabrics extremely robust and durable, dirt-repellent and therefore easy to clean, as well as weatherproof and rot-resistant. These fabrics boast high UV protection and carry OEKO-TEX certification.

A dedicated service team takes care of the professional cleaning of the covers and renewal of aged parasol frames and furniture.

Nearly 100 employees work every day in the different departments to produce all those favourite pieces: carpentry, parasol production, seat assembly, fabric processing, upholstery, warehouse logistics and administration. Weishäupl’s selected range is divided into 3 product groups: parasols, outdoor furniture and accessories. The Bavarian outdoor specialist currently offers eight premium parasol models and 20 exclusive furniture ranges.

The Weishäupl Möbelwerkstätten are committed to a tradition of craftsmanship that has always had only one goal: the highest quality. The furniture’s uniqueness, however, has a different origin: it comes from the attention to detail, from the devoted care, from the passion for the art of handcrafting. Heart and hand can do what machines can never do: they give things a soul.

Weishäupl joins the pCon community: Tradition meets innovation

Weishäupl starts with the configuration of the parasols and all the various equipment options. The integration of Weishäupl parasols into the pCon community offers significant advantages for sales partners and retailers:

  • Improved product presentation: Dealers can now present Weishäupl parasols in a more dynamic and appealing way. The 3D configurator allows detailed visualisation of the products and gives customers a realistic view of how the parasol will look and how it will fit on the terrace/balcony.
  • One-click configuration: With the configurable data, sales partners can easily demonstrate the versatility of Weishäupl parasols. Customers can explore different configurations, colours, sizes and variants and customise the parasols to their specific needs and preferences.
  • Efficient sales process: The integration streamlines the sales process and reduces the time spent preparing offers. Dealers can quickly adjust product configurations based on customer feedback, providing a more responsive and efficient service.
  • Increase accuracy and satisfaction: The ability to accurately configure products reduces the chance of ordering errors. This accuracy ensures that customers get exactly what they expect, leading to higher satisfaction rates and repeat orders.

Weishäupl’s decision to provide configurable data to the pCon community reflects its commitment to innovation and customer satisfaction. This digital evolution not only enhances the product experience for customers, but also enables dealers to optimise their processes and expand their service offerings.
