NEW TENDENCY is a design studio based in Berlin that transfers the principles of modern design into contemporary utilitarian objects. In the tradition of Bauhaus, NEW TENDENCY develops products that are characterized by conceptual design, clear aesthetics, functional form and regional production. The application possibilities are almost unlimited, whether office, canteen or in private and public areas. Due to the functional and clear design, the furniture adapts to all environments.

The collection of furniture and accessories is created under the artistic direction of Manuel Goller and consists of the company’s own products as well as collaborations with selected designers and architects.

MASA is a table designed for use in the office, canteen or home. The arrangement of the forked legs provides optimal legroom and maximum functionality – easily dismantled, the frame is ideal for stacking, storage and transportation. MASA can be combined with any type of tabletop and is available in custom sizes and colors upon request. Its smooth silhouette and minimalist details border on maximum reduction of design and material use. The table top is made of innovative matte Nano HPL with color-matched edges. The Masa table system is primarily used as a conference table in meeting rooms, as a workbench in open offices or in combination with Masa benches in offices, kitchens and waiting areas. The tables can be delivered within 3-5 weeks.

The modular designed Standard Sofa series is the first upholstered furniture system from NEW TENDENCY. Available as armchair, 2 or 3 seater. Standard can be used individually or as a solitaire in offices or private and public areas such as business lounges and hotel lobbies.

Defined geometric shapes, clean lines and balanced proportions give the series its refined and monumental look. Available in three curated color and textile combinations with upholstery covered by Raf Simons designed for Kvadrat Vidar 3 fabric, the Standard Sofa works well in combination with the Meta Side Table, which has become a classic of the NEW TENDENCY collection since its release in 2011.

Meta Side Table is a side table for storage and shelving; the name – a reference to its function as a storehouse of knowledge and information. With storage space for books and magazines and a shelf for accessories or a laptop, Meta is very suitable as a side table in office and living areas, as well as in furnished boarding houses or hotels.

Due to the wide range of colors, Meta can create the perfect color accent in any project. Horizontally and vertically arranged rectangular and round surfaces and compartments made of powder-coated steel form its shape. This combination makes Meta look sometimes delicate, sometimes solid, depending on the perspective.
