Plydesign was born out in 2014 of the desire to create excellent furniture design that contributes to the well-being of people. Plydesign’s work is characterized by serendipity – the ability to profit from new encounters and associations that result in striking juxtapositions of ideas. This kind of design approach has allowed to bring about a subtle yet sturdy furniture collection.

FLEET Collection results from extensive research and product development whereby the best practices of ergonomics were integrated and applied, based on users’ feedback. The tables and chairs come disassembled to minimize the box’s volume and lower the ecological footprint. The adequate stability and safety, as well as surface resistance certificates guarantee a long lifecycle.
The collection includes chairs, tables, lamps from which the FRIGATE chair family received the iF DESIGN AWARD in 2021. Plydesign is highly keen on research and product development, expanding the FLEET Collection with niche design objects which meet contract projects’ requirements. The brand’s achievements greatly rely on the family-owned factory’s 30-year solid experience in manufacturing molded plywood components, the inventiveness of young creative designers, and the top-notch, eco-conscious suppliers.
The versatile nature of plywood allows us to create contours following the shape of the body, producing smaller amounts of waste and using less raw materials than solid wood. Plydesign works only with FSC-certified plywood and with OEKO-TEX® and EU Ecolabel-certified textiles and fabrics by internationally acclaimed suppliers such as Camira and Gabriel and Sørensen Leather.
